Ecology of Feeling
Conservation work enmeshed within literature
Conservation & Creativity
My work is grounded in the belief that observation is a form of care.
Through platforms like Observations.org, I contribute to the scientific record of biodiversity in Australia—documenting rare and overlooked species as part of a wider conservation effort. But my practice doesn’t end with data. I carry each sighting into other mediums: art, literature, and photography.
I believe conservation is not only biological, but also emotional. It lives in the images we take, the stories we tell, and the quiet moments we choose to keep. My mission is to record what might otherwise be lost—not only species, but the way they made us feel.
By combining fieldwork with reflection, I hope to cultivate an archive of quiet noticing—a space where science and story can coexist. Every bird recorded, every moment remembered, is a gesture toward a world better seen, and more gently held.
